Summary The role is responsible for:
Essential functions Manage a team of 8 Quality Engineers and Senior Quality engineers across 4 sites to maintain the Raw Materials Qualifications and Approvals program. Support the development of QA personnel as required to support local plant functions. Ensure appropriate supplier controls for purchased raw materials including supplier audits and verification of purchased product upon receipt are effectively implemented at melt sites. Conduct raw material supplier audits as required auditor training including hazard awareness training as necessary to support newly assigned personnel. Maintain/enhance PCC Metals Groups Quality Management System across all sites to ensure continued compliance to customer and industry quality standards (e.g. ISO 9001/AS9100/AS13100) including the Corporate Business Quality Systems Manual (BQSM) and Corporate Quality Protocols (CQPs). Work with each site to assess high risk quality system deficiencies and implement preventive measures to mitigate weaknesses in the quality program. Evaluate each sites QMS (e.g. training programs management reviews internal audit administration RCCA program effectiveness) and identify improvement opportunities for various QA processes and align to AS9100/AS13100 and a business management approach; leverage identified best practices across the organization. Project Manage the implementation of new QMS and LIMS applications across all PCC Metals Group facilities in cooperation with the IT Quality Systems Manager to meet the needs of the businesses. Lead a steering committee to ensure successful and consistent deployment at all facilities. Formalize internal quality surveys to aid identification of performance improvement opportunities within the company. Periodic participation in Management Reviews/Quality Team Meetings and third-party quality audits to promote consistency and best practice. Collaborate with local quality and operations management to periodically assess perceived competence of QA staff and identify improvement opportunities.

Minimum: 10 years in Quality Control/Assurance in a manufacturing facility. Preferred: 15 years minimum in Quality Control/Assurance in a primary metals production facility. Special Skills/ Experience Quality assurance/control principles quality management systems ISO 9001 AS 9100 AS13100; working knowledge of titanium manufacturing processes; proficient in MS Office (e.g. Word Excel Outlook). Additional Notes: Knowledge of customer/industry specifications and customer agreements. Travel Requirements: Up to 50% Work Environment Office based remote and travel.
