Corporate Counsel, Stores and Ops Legal

Amazons Legal Department is looking for a talented attorney to fill the position of Corporate Counsel to support portions of Amazons global finance people experience (PxT) travel corporate procurement and corporate facilities teams. The role must drive legal analysis of business solutions negotiate business-critical agreements and mitigate risks across dynamic global teams. You will be a key strategic partner translating complex legal challenges into actionable insights that propel Amazons business forward.

Key job responsibilities
- Provide Strategic Legal Counsel: Deliver comprehensive legal advice to fast-moving business teams across finance people experience travel and corporate functions
- Negotiate Complex Agreements: Structure draft and negotiate sophisticated supply chain licensing and commercial contracts
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal reputational and commercial risks for emerging business strategies
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts on labor employment tax and corporate compliance matters


A day in the life
You will provide product counseling and advice directly to business teams related to Amazons legal reputational and commercial risks. Among other projects you will negotiate commercial transactions in a high-volume high-velocity environment; advise on business strategies and the development of new business operations and technical products; and mediate commercial disputes with key suppliers. You will also help design develop and implement new systems strategies and initiatives to provide legal support to our global teams and you will coordinate with in-house and external subject matter experts focused on among other issues labor & employment tax corporate securities and compliance with local laws.

Our team values intellectual curiosity strategic thinking in the face of ambiguity and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes with agility and precision.

- 5 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Corporate law firm and/or in-house legal experience
- Proven ability to manage complex multi-dimensional legal projects
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic enjoy working hard and being challenged and demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
