About the Opportunity

Our client is a fast-growing financial services and SME lending company specialising in structured credit solutions including LPO financing invoice discounting and working capital facilities.

As the business continues to scale they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with proven hands-on execution experience in structured finance products. This is a front-line revenue role for someone who has originated structured and closed deals not a theoretical or product-adjacent position.

The role is fully office-based in Lagos and sits at the core of the companys growth strategy.

IMPORTANT WHO SHOULD (AND SHOULD NOT) APPLY

You should ONLY apply if you:

  • Have directly executed LPO financing and/or invoice discounting transactions
  • Have worked in banking microfinance or a financial services institution
  • Can clearly explain specific deals you originated structured and closed
  • Have between 310 years of relevant professional experience
  • Are below 40 years of age
  • Are available to work full-time on-site in Lagos

  • Only have theoretical knowledge of LPO or invoice discounting
  • Have worked mainly in product operations cards or digital acquisition without deal execution
  • Cannot evidence completed transactions

  • Are you available to work full-time from the clients office in Lagos
  • What are your current salary expectations and notice period
  • Key Responsibilities

    • Originate structure and close LPO financing invoice discounting and working capital facilities
    • Build and manage a strong SME client pipeline
    • Conduct client onboarding KYC and initial credit assessments
    • Work closely with Credit and Risk teams to structure viable transactions
    • Maintain portfolio performance and support repayment compliance
    • Achieve and exceed individual revenue and disbursement targets
    • Monitor market trends and identify new lending opportunities
    • Maintain accurate records in the CRM system

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • 310 years of experience in:
      • Banking
      • Microfinance
      • Fintech lending
      • Structured credit environments
    • Demonstrable hands-on experience with:
      • LPO financing
      • Invoice discounting
      • SME lending products
    • Strong commercial judgement and deal ownership mindset
    • Clear confident communicator with the ability to articulate deals end-to-end
    • Comfortable working in a target-driven high-accountability environment
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; CRM experience required
