Description
a leading global public manufacturing company located in the Saint Louis MO area is seeking a Global Manager Freight Audit & Payment to oversee and optimize its end to end freight audit invoicing and payment programs across multiple regions. The client offers great salary and benefits a hybrid schedule 401(k) plan with 100% match up to the first 4% and other profit sharing perks. Candidates with experience in accounts payable supply chain procurement or program management particularly those who have handled freight payment processes are strongly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities:
Lead the performance and continuous improvement of global freight audit and payment programs
Develop scalable internal and external processes supporting freight payment accuracy and speed
Manage third party freight audit providers and ensure accountability to service standards
Partner with internal teams and regional finance groups to ensure timely invoice payment and month end close alignment
Build cost models to determine appropriate intercompany fee structures
Create and maintain global transportation budgets and performance reporting
Work with organizational leadership to assess needs define strategy and drive implementation of global freight payment processes
Develop metrics dashboards and reporting to monitor and improve operational performance
Lead process improvement reviews and deliver automation or enhancement projects on schedule
Maintain strong relationships with external freight audit partners
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Business Finance Supply Chain Logistics or related field
3 years of experience in supply chain audit logistics transportation finance or a related field
Project management experience
Strong problem solving abilities and comfort communicating across multiple functional areas
Understanding of freight audit systems and transportation management systems
Strong attention to detail with large datasets
Experience with and system savvy with analytics and dashboarding tools (e.g. Oracle Analytics Cloud)
Advanced presentation and project management capabilities
