Summary:
The Customer Services Contact Officer will work within the Contact Camden service acting as the first point of contact for residents across multiple channels including phone email face-to-face and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first point of contact for citizens handling enquiries via phone email face-to-face social media and digital channels
- Resolve customer queries using plain language professional curiosity and a solution-focused approach
- Investigate issues analyse information and collaborate with internal departments to reach appropriate resolutions
- Provide accurate information on council services policies campaigns and service navigation
- Identify barriers faced by residents in accessing services and feedback insights to support service improvement
- Manage difficult and sensitive conversations with empathy patience and professionalism
Essentials:
- Experience maintaining accurate records and using CRM systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage high volumes of enquiries across multiple channels
- Confidence using digital systems and navigating multiple IT platforms
