Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Wound Care Nurse at St. Francis Medical Center now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between CHI Health and Dignity Health you will provide wound ostomy continence (WOC) focused care to patients.
- Serves as a resource in educating patients and families in management of wound ostomy and continence conditions.
- Provides peri-operative education and stoma-site marking for patients undergoing ostomy surgery.
- Formulates implements and evaluates the patients plan of care and adjust plan of care in consultation with the Provider
Job Requirements
- BSN degree required within 2 years of start date
- Current Nebraska license as a Registered Nurse.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
- Certification in 1 specialty area(COCN CWCN CWOCN CWON) within 3 years of start date
- One to three years experience in nursing necessary in order to provide and train others in proper care of wound & ostomy patients.
