POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE:
Under general supervision provide daily work direction to maintenance crews issuing work orders and verifying completion. Oversee the requisition submittals for materials and truck stock on a daily basis. Provide technical knowledge and assistance on all repair issues pertaining to multi skill work.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises plans assigns and inspects work of multi skill craftspersons. Oversees the Cyclic Work Program ensuring it stays on schedule and work is completed in a timely manner.
Demonstrates accountability in maintaining accurate records for Maintenance functions to include status cost of labor materials and supplies for work order close out.
Coordinates work with other Maintenance Divisions district employees and outside contractors.
Ensure that that safety regulations and safe work practices are observed.
Maintain inventory of tools equipment and vehicles as assigned daily.
Pre plan jobs so that materials can be ordered and delivered to job sites before work crews arrive. Order all materials for work orders on a daily basis.
Inspects the work performed by multi skill employees and work performed by contract services.
Communicate and coordinates with principals department heads custodians supervisors contractors and vendors in scheduling various maintenance repairs.
Initiates and suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Administer District policy and maintenance directives as it relates to employees under your supervision including letters of commendation.
Employee may be required to respond to after hour/emergency call outs be placed on an emergency call out rotation and flex work hours to accommodate job completion.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned including lawn care custodial and general maintenance.
