The Blackheath Hospital in London is part of Circle Health Group Britains leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.
We have an opportunity for a Quality and Risk Coordinator to join their team of staff in theQuality Assurance department.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Support the local management and coordination of incident reporting ensuring timely documentation review and closure of incidents in line with policy.
- Assist in the investigation of adverse events near misses and complaints contributing to root cause analysis and action planning.
- Maintain accurate risk registers and escalate significant risks to relevant governance forums.
- Coordinate internal audits inspections and quality monitoring activities across departments ensuring action plans are implemented and reviewed.
- Assist with compliance tracking against CQC HIS HIW or equivalent standards including preparation for inspections and reviews.
- Collate review and present data related to quality metrics KPIs and governance performance.
- Provide administrative and coordination support for governance meetings including the collation of papers minute-taking and follow-up of actions.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience working in a quality risk governance or clinical support role in a healthcare or regulatory environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills including minute-taking and report coordination.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and governance systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of healthcare governance frameworks and regulatory standards (e.g. CQC HIS HIW).
- Experience with incident reporting systems (e.g. Datix Ulysses).
- Training in root cause analysis or audit methodology.
- Previous experience in private healthcare or hospital settings.
