GoldUnion is a global leader in buying and selling precious metals and is rapidly expanding across California with a goal of opening 50 locations by 2027. As part of this growth we are looking for a reliable hands-on Handyman / Project Coordinator to support the physical setup and readiness of new retail branchesfrom initial build-out through grand opening.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on-site solving practical problems and playing a key role in bringing retail spaces to life.
As a member of GoldUnions retail expansion team this role is essential to ensuring each new branch is functional safe and visually aligned with company standards prior to opening. Youll handle hands-on tasks light construction support installations repairs and coordination with vendors and contractors as needed.
GoldUnions current operations are based in Santa Clarita / Valencia CA with plans to relocate the U.S. headquarters to Beverly Hills CA. While this position involves frequent travel throughout California your primary base will transition with the HQ move.
Perform hands-on handyman tasks during branch preparation including light construction follow-ups repairs adjustments and finishing work
Assist with store layouts fixture placement furniture assembly mounting and basic carpentry or drywall touch-ups
Coordinate and work alongside contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion of on-site tasks
Support installation and setup of fixtures equipment signage security hardware and operational tools
Conduct walk-throughs to identify and resolve punch-list items prior to inspections or store openings
Ensure each location meets safety cleanliness and functionality standards before handoff
Support branch setup leading into grand openings including last-minute fixes and adjustments
Travel between locations to support multiple branch openings across California
Previous experience as a handyman maintenance technician facilities support or similar hands-on role preferred
Comfortable using basic tools and performing light construction repairs installations and assembly work
Reliable self-motivated and able to work independently on-site
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with internal teams and vendors
Flexible schedule and willingness to travel extensively throughout California
Retail or construction-site experience is a plus but not required
Strong work ethic positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential
Salary: $50000 per year
Company vehicle provided
Gas and housing accommodations fully covered during travel
Full-time Monday through Friday
Occasional weekends based on business needs and branch opening schedules
Office currently based in Santa Clarita / Valencia CA
