WeoperateaYouth Centre offering barrier-free counselling hot meals and community programming and aTransitional Home providing emergency and long-term housing with life-skills support.

About the Role
As aTransitional Home Food ServiceVolunteer youwillbe responsible for:
- Receiving and Organizing Food Delivery:
- Unload food from delivery truck into the kitchen
- Organize and shelf the delivered food in the kitchen
- Assistingwith planning meal programs
- Preparing food for meal programs
- Support Monthly Community Meals:
- Assistthe Food ServiceCoordinatoronthe lastThursday ofeverymonth
- Create a safe and welcoming environment
- Serve the residents delicious home cooked meals
What You Bring
Qualifications:
- Valid Food Handlercertificate.
- Comfortablelifting upto 25lbs.
- Strongorganizational andspatialplanningskills.
- Commitment to social justice anti-racism anti-oppression housing first approach harm reduction approach and trauma-informed care.
Assets:
- Food handling andpreparationexperience.
- Knowledge and experience in the sector.
