The Program Manager of Assortment Capabilities supports execution of Whole Foods Markets multi-year strategy for advancing assortment planning capabilities and driving adoption across merchandising product management and technology teams. This role manages implementation of capability development initiatives that enable continuous improvement for assortment relevancy serving as a key contributor to Worldwide Grocery Stores strategy at Whole Food Market.

Key job responsibilities
Supports execution of multi-year capability roadmap strategy
Manages implementation and optimization of software solutions for assortment planning
Delivers quantifiable KPI improvements for assortment planning initiatives (e.g. forecast accuracy inventory turns assortment productivity)
Supports development and implementation of assortment life-cycle processes
Maintains relationships with third-party partners
Identifies capability gaps and supports development roadmap through Operational Planning business case ownership.
Implements data integrity mechanisms and measurement for data inputs and outputs
Supports monthly business review practice for key stakeholders to track performance KPIs

- 5 years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Bachelors degree or above or 5 years of equivalent experience
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to establish strong partnerships with demonstrable results
- Experience recruiting top talent and building high performing teams
- 2-3 years leadership or project management experience
- Track record of creative problem-solving demonstrating ability to think innovatively and find effective solutions to complex challenges
- Experience leveraging analytics in decision-making with demonstrated ability to drive measurable business outcomes through data
- Ability to leverage resources effectively to overcome obstacles and achieve successful outcomes
- Demonstrates ability to execute strategic plans that drive organizational success
- Understanding of the grocery retail industry and the business models of key strategic partners and competitors
- Excellent written and oral communication skills including ability to write clear persuasive narratives and formal documentation (roadmaps status updates strategic papers)
- Proven ability to work under pressure prioritize work and balance a portfolio of programs

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
