General Stores & Procurement College Co-Op
Job Description Summary
Were seeking a self-motivated student who is ready to take initiative while gaining hands-on the role of General Stores & Procurement College Co-op you will track orders communicate with suppliers and participate in purchasing review meetings.
Additionally youll assist with crib organization and standardization initiatives to help improve efficiency and inventory accuracy. This role will travel between our Royal Oak and Troy facilities and offers exposure to purchasing inventory management and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Description:
- Issue purchase orders
- Purchase monitor and verify parts for inventory stocking at plants
- Identify and implement cost savings
- Communicate with suppliers
- Create cycle counts - Prepare cycle counts for crib attendants as part of plant KPIs
- Identify and stock new items for the crib and add into inventory using current systems
- Support maintenance and general stores functions
- All other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Education
- Must be enrolled fulltime in an accredited college or university pursuing Business Finance Supply Chain or related field.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later
- Minimum of 25 hours each week
- Intermediate excel skill
- Must be able to rotate between two facilities
