Job Title: Procurement Agent I
Location: Pomona CA (Hybrid Onsite Mon/Tue flexible)
Duration: 12 Months Contract (03/25/2026 03/24/2027)
Schedule: Monday Friday 8 AM 5 PM (40 hrs/week)
Pay Rate: $16.00 $32.17/hr (W2)
Position Overview
The Procurement Agent I supports operational procurement activities focused on direct materials. This role is responsible for executing purchasing processes supporting supplier management and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The ideal candidate will have foundational procurement knowledge strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute procurement activities including purchase orders (POs) change orders and requisitions
- Support end-to-end procurement lifecycle for assigned projects and programs
- Perform price and cost analysis supplier evaluations and source selection
- Assist in supplier negotiations and procurement strategy execution
- Maintain and manage:
- Outline Agreements
- Source Lists
- Procurement documentation
- Monitor supplier performance related to:
- Cost
- Quality
- Delivery schedules
- Conduct or support supplier audits and assessments
- Ensure compliance with:
- Company procurement policies
- Legal and regulatory requirements
- Contractual obligations
- Support procurement package management by:
- Understanding supplier-customer relationships
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams
- Assist in resolving supplier/customer conflicts and performance issues
- Maintain contractual integrity including flow-down terms and conditions
- Promote ethical procurement practices and data confidentiality
- Support small business and supplier diversity initiatives
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Process and track purchase orders and requisitions
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for order fulfillment
- Maintain procurement records and ensure data accuracy
- Support SAP-based procurement transactions
- Assist with reporting documentation and audit preparation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree OR equivalent experience
(Associates degree with relevant experience may be considered) - 03 years of experience in:
- Procurement
- Purchasing
- Supply Chain
- Basic understanding of:
- Financial analysis
- Costing methods (Activity-Based Costing)
- Supply chain processes
- Strong:
- Attention to detail
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with:
- SAP ECC (Materials Management)
- Purchase Orders Change Orders Requisitions
- Outline Agreements & Source Lists
- Familiarity with:
- SAP Ariba
- Procurement automation tools
