Senior Engineer, Materials Quality Engineering

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic SeniorEngineer in ourMaterialsQualityEngineering team(Supplier Quality)forourregional supplier baseandUSmanufacturing this rolethe candidatesprimary responsibility will be to assess and manage supplier riskqualityperformanceand improvement to ensure the continuity ofbothEntegrisandourcustomers supply position will support theMaterials Solutions Division and the plants inAurora IL and Hillsboro raw material portfolio to be managedwill bein the area ofinorganic materialsand polymeric nanoparticlesto support ourIC Polishingconsumables.

Thecandidatemust beable towork with autonomy and independent judgement to achievebothMaterialsQualityEngineeringand Entegris corporate goalspluslead continuous improvementandsupplierchangeprojectswith our critical/strategic candidatewill also work closely withCommodity ManagersOperations R&DandCustomerQuality forinternal and customer issue interpersonalskills to developstrong workingrelationships withboth internal customers and ourcritical/strategic suppliersisrequiredtoenable effective supplier management and improvement of supplier position will work closely with the global Materials Quality Engineering team to support the business.

In this role you will:

• Support new product developmentand the existing supplier base to leadonsite assessment and qualification of materials suppliersidentifyinggaps/opportunities driving gap closure and continuous improvementactions/projects.

• Work with a Global team including our plants inAsiatosupport local and global issues when.

• Understand the suppliers processes and how the raw material has an impact on Entegris products andcustomersapplication.

• Be a subject matterand technicalexpert inrawmaterial management and support Entegriscorporate anddivisionsgoals.

• Drive technical improvements and own technical reviews when required working closely with R&D

• Drive advanced quality planning and process of record documentation with critical/strategic suppliers.

• Own supplier process control system reviews (SPCtrend reviewsmetrology/SPC systems reviews FMEA Control Plans etc.).

• Initiatecoordinate drive and ownsupplier change notification through the Entegris internal change control systemand supplier communication.

• Proactively assess supplier risk and plan forappropriate riskmitigation

• Train suppliers on key supplier expectations and requirements such as Change Control.

• Anticipate potential supplier quality management problems and opportunities;assessimpacts and risksproposepotential solutions.

• Drive supplier corrective actions and preventative actions to meet Entegrisissue resolutionexpectations(SCAR 8D 5-why Fishbone etc.).

• Contribute to the development and improvement of the Entegris Supplier Quality Management System byidentifyingand proposingsupplier quality managementprocessandtechnicalimprovements to meet our industry and customer requirements.

What we seek:

• Bachelors Degree in ChemistryChemical EngineeringorMaterials Science

• MS and/or PhD preferredwith a focus in inorganicor polymeric nanomaterials

• Six-Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. Knowledge of statistical software likeMinitab JMP or SAS.

• The candidateshoulddemonstrateadeeptechnicalunderstandingof chemical manufacturingwithexperienceininorganicchemistryparticularly in the areas of colloidal silica aluminum oxide cerium oxide and polymeric nanomaterials.

• Direct experience with supplier quality managementpreferred

• ASQ Certification or equivalentpreferredbut not.

• Minimum5-7years experiencein chemical manufacturingautomotivesemiconductorindustryor relatedhigh-techindustrypreferred

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally total travel up to10%

• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills

• Ability to workindependently andhavestrong organizationalskills.

• Strong project management and leadership skills

• Ability to collaborate with cross functionaldepartments.

• Compensation: $100000 - $125000 per year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
