The Parenting Teens Program Graduation Facilitator provides comprehensive educational services to pregnant and parenting students. The Graduation Facilitator works with students and their families to develop educational and/or employment plan that optimizes student potential for graduation and fosters self-sufficiency. The Graduation Facilitator reports to the PTP Program Director. Responsibilities: Implements strategies to increase academic preparation of middle high school and evening school students at Parenting Teens. Works with NBHS Guidance department to coordinate student schedules track attendance and drop-out recovery tandem with guidance counselors ensure students have access to and awareness of post-secondary options through articulation agreements dual enrollment Advanced Placement courses or other formal activities. Works in conjunction with NBPS Adult/Continuing Education to coordinate educational pathways for evening school diploma candidates update transcripts coordinate MCAS testing and assign classes. Coordinates and facilitates program tours consultations and intake procedures for new studentsWorks with DTA and state agencies on development of service plans. Establishes collaborations with educational institutions and facilitates program promotion and community outreach with all local educational with students to identify potential barriers to education. Refers participants to community resources as needed. With existing partners Builds college knowledge of PTP students helping them understand the post-secondary system and culture research college options and navigate issues such as testing applications and financial aid. Coordinate services and communications with curriculum vendors (Apex IXL) to ensure full implementation of on-line conjunction with teachers review students progress in classes identify areas of concern and coordinate intervention when needed. Deliver workshops to community partners and families explaining the program and connection to college readiness. Work with PTP team to ensure that sufficient academic supports (MCAS EL IEP compliance) exist to help students succeed in core courses. Administer interest inventories and other related assessments that will help identify each students strengths and career goals and broaden students understanding of the pathways to achieve career goals. Perform other duties as assigned by Program Director. Terms:Non-Union 12 MonthsSalary: $60000.00- $68000.00 (based on experience)
