Amalgamated Bank seeks a Leader of Corporate Public Engagement (CPE Leader) is responsible for shaping and executing Amalgamated Banks public engagement corporate giving and volunteerism strategy to strengthen the Banks reputation public influence and trust with key stakeholders. This role manages charitable corporate giving oversees enterprise volunteerism and board development opportunities and serves as a key ambassador in new and expansion markets. This role works closely with community leaders policymakers advocacy groups and the public on issues that align with the Banks mission values and strategy. The CPE leader will be accountability for setting and meeting impact metrics that align with the Banks strategic priorities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop and refine the CPE impact strategy in partnership with peers and senior leaders ensuring alignment with the banks broader mission values and business objectives.
- Design and implement metrics to measure the effectiveness and reach of CPE initiatives providing regular updates to executive leadership and the board.
- Develop innovative partnerships and programs that advance the banks public engagement goals.
- Oversee and allocate the banks charitable giving budget (excluding CRA-mandated commitments) ensuring alignment with the banks mission values and strategic priorities. Maintain a compliant and auditable giving platform for grants donations and sponsorships.
- Lead the Banks enterprise employee volunteerism program fostering a culture of community service across all levels of the organization. Track and report on volunteer participation and impact integrating these metrics into overall corporate responsibility reporting.
- Introduce and facilitate connections between Bank executives regional directors and other relevant senior leaders with key community leaders groups and other stakeholders in existing and new markets.
- Work cross-functionally with CSR CRA marketing client engagement and regional leadership to maximize the reach and impact of CPE initiatives including messaging and narrative around public engagement activities.
- Stay informed of trends and best practices in corporate philanthropy volunteerism and stakeholder engagement.
Knowledge Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in business public administration nonprofit management or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in corporate philanthropy CSR nonprofit leadership or a related discipline preferably within a financial services context.
- Demonstrated success building strategic partnerships and public engagement programs and managing charitable corporate giving and developing metrics-driven impact strategies.
- Strong relationship-building public speaking and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience launching or expanding programs in new geographic markets is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management tools grant-making platforms donation tracking and impact reporting platforms
- Excellent project management communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience managing a team.
