Vacancy: Customer Journey Expert Trading Risk Management (TRM Engineering)
Your role
We are looking for a Customer Journey Expert (CJE) (Scale 17) to strengthen the TRM Engineering team within Trading Risk this role you will own and drive end-to-end journeys for complex Trading Risk reporting and data-driven processes with a strong focus on standardization digitization and operational excellence.
You will play a key role in shaping the future-state reporting and data landscape as legacy Excel- and report-based processes transition into modern scalable solutions built on cloud-based data platforms and dashboards. Rather than replicating historical logic you will challenge existing solutions and help define fit-for-purpose sustainable journeys.
As a Customer Journey Expert you act as the voice of the business and the connecting link between Trading Risk Finance and IT ensuring clarity of requirements quality of delivery and high stakeholder satisfaction.
Your team
You will join TRM Engineering a multidisciplinary and international team within Trading Risk Management. The team focuses on tactical automation for globally aligned Trading Risk processes replacing fragile end-user computing with robust production-grade applications.
You will work closely with Product Management IT engineers platform teams and business stakeholders across multiple locations. The team is based in Amsterdam and works in a hybrid setup with strong emphasis on collaboration and joint decision-making.
Your responsibilities
As a Customer Journey Expert you will:
End-to-end ownership & change delivery
Own and design end-to-end customer journeys for Trading Risk and reporting processes from intake to production and maintenance
Combine business expertise system knowledge and product thinking to successfully deliver complex change initiatives
Shape the future-state reporting landscape as legacy processes transition to modern cloud-based data platforms and dashboards
Stakeholder & requirement management
Act as the key interfacing function between business units and IT ensuring mutual understanding and alignment on requirements and outcomes
Help stakeholders articulate their true reporting and data needs rather than replicating historical or legacy logic
Establish and maintain strong sustainable relationships with key stakeholders across Trading Risk Finance and IT
Represent the voice of the business to engineering squads
Analysis design & delivery support
Provide impactful analysis in cross-domain end-to-end and complex environments understanding how current processes are used and how they should evolve
Translate the business What into clear developer-ready requirements enabling engineers to determine the optimal How
Partner with squads to maximize business value by contributing to refinement solution design and backlog prioritization
Challenge complexity and actively promote simplification and standardization
Testing data quality & release
Perform accuracy checks and validation for data integrations across multiple systems
Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) including parallel runs between MVP outputs and business results
Prepare clear UAT documentation ensure full data accuracy and obtain formal business sign-off
Maintain alignment between acceptance and production environments ensuring both are functional and ready for business users after deployments
Support release activities through impact assessments release reporting and stakeholder communication
Operational excellence & reliability
Ensure a high level of stakeholder satisfaction by delivering quality solutions and supporting month-end and quarter-end reporting operations
Proactively address issues and coordinate with technical teams when incidents or concerns arise
Take ownership of implications of decisions and ensure they are properly addressed
Ways of working & leadership
Act as Scrum Master where applicable ensuring all agile rituals are performed effectively
Support the Product Owner in maintaining a backlog aligned with the roadmap
Follow up on active tasks and stories ensuring transparency and flow on team dashboards
Create an environment of open dialogue collaboration and knowledge sharing
Accumulate maintain and actively share functional and domain knowledge for reuse across the team

About you
You have:
A bachelors or masters degree
5 years of relevant experience as a Customer Journey Expert Business Analyst or similar role
Strong analytical structuring and problem-solving skills
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A curious mindset for data systems and underlying IT architecture
Additonally
Hands on experience with and understanding of Trading Risk Management environment processes and business needed
