About the Opportunity

We are seeking a high-caliber Legal Counsel to join the core legal team of Singapores newest and most innovative exchange and clearing house. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role in a high-growth fintech environment dedicated to the energy transition market. Reporting to the General Counsel you will provide strategic legal leadership and hands-on support for complex product lifecycles global commercial programs and the expansion of a cutting-edge precious metals platform.

Core Responsibilities

1. Product Architecture & Contractual Frameworks

• Launch Readiness: Lead the legal and regulatory lifecycle for new market products ensuring full compliance prior to go-live.
  

• Drafting & Negotiation: Develop sophisticated product contracts and legal documentation for diverse financial and physical instruments.
  

• Global Coordination: Synchronize with internal stakeholders (Product Risk Commercial) and external counsel across North America Europe and Asia to ensure seamless cross-jurisdictional alignment.
  

• Process Leadership: Manage the transition of products from initial concept through to formal market launch.
  

2. Commercial & Strategic Growth

• Incentive & Data Programs: Architect the legal frameworks for commercial incentive programs and market data initiatives including contract execution with global counterparties.
  

• Physical Delivery Support: Provide critical legal oversight for the physical delivery of contracts including advising on dispute resolution and supporting the Delivery Committee.
  

• Platform Expansion: Drive the legal and regulatory roadmap for the expansion of the Precious Metals spot trading platform into new international territories.
  

• Strategic Advisory: Partner with the General Counsel on long-term business planning and the implementation of high-impact legal strategies.
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: A Law degree from a top-tier university.
  

• Experience: 46 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) at a reputable law firm or financial institution.
  

• Industry Context: Prior exposure to commodities trading capital markets exchanges or clearing houses is highly advantageous.
  

• Mindset: A "solutions-first" approach with the ability to thrive in a rapid-growth pioneer environment.
  

• Collaborative Strength: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to navigate cross-functional teams and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
