The role oversees the accounting operations for our investment portfolios. It requires leadership in financial reporting compliance and team management.

Responsibilities

Manage investment accounting activities
Collaborate with outsourced investment teams (i.e. SLC and SLIMA) on portfolio valuations
Ensure compliance with IFRSs and regulatory standards including HKRBC and BMA
Prepare Group Reporting schedules
Prepare investment related sections in audited financial statements HKRBC and BMA returns
Monitor and analyze movements in notional cash balances
Review and monitor internal control procedures and ensure compliance with ICFR
Provide support to investment and other teams on investment initiatives
Lead and mentor accounting staffs

Qualifications

Degree in Finance / Accounting with accounting professional qualification
10 years of working experience in insurance or finance function with at least 5 years of supervisory experience
Solid understanding on IFRS 9 and investment accounting for life insurance companies
