Goodwill Alberta Connect is a comprehensive client-centered model designed to support Persons with Disabilities and individuals facing barriers to employment through an integrated approach that combines innovation wraparound supports and employer support. The model is built on three core components: a technology-enabled Resource Centre; a two-stream employment support pathway and Employer Services to support organizations to hire inclusively. By integrating employer education and structured work or volunteer experiences the program promotes sustainable employment outcomes and helps reduce systemic barriers.

Job Summary

Under the guidance of the Manager of Program Delivery the Program Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the development supervision and coordination of the program. This includes providing supervision training and coaching of direct reports to ensure we are expertly supporting individuals to reach their employment goals.

What youll be doing:

People Leadership

  • Managing direct reports including:
    • Supervising the program team.
    • Setting clear expectations for direct reports and monitoring performance.
    • Documenting team member performance for the purpose of performance evaluations.
    • Developing and monitoring schedules.
  • Supporting intake services or providing relief to accommodate team member vacations and personal time.
  • Coordinating and monitoring program teams communication to ensure compliance.
  • Setting clear expectations for work assessments to meet individual participants employment goals and monitoring progress towards goals.
  • Fostering an inclusive trauma-informed strengths-based culture within the team.
  • Ensuring that individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Participating in professional development opportunities in service training and staff meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Program Leadership and Operations

  • Taking a leadership role in the development of the program.
  • Proactively identifying and addressing the needs of Program functions in support of long-term sustainability and growth.
  • Overseeing program evaluation and execution of program improvements.
  • Meeting Key performance Indicators (KPIs) which include but are not limited to jobplacementrates program completion rates participant and employee
  • satisfaction scores documentation and compliance.
  • Utilizing case management software (e.g. ETO) to oversee individual time records case notes assessments and files for Individuals.
  • Maintaining Intake information and implementing individual program plans to ensure program participant success.
  • Leading the reporting processes for funders and submitting required reports.
  • Acting as an advocate and positive role model in all stakeholder interactions demonstrating appropriate work behaviour and communicating in a professional manner.

Relationship Building & Collaboration

  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with relevant businesses agencies and non-profit organizations.
  • Attending leadership meetings community meetings and participating in external committees as required.
  • Planning stakeholder orientations in-service training and team development workshops.
  • Ensuring compliance to industry standards while making any necessary accommodations for the individuals served.
  • Building interdepartmental relationships to support program effectiveness.

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in the field of employment supports working with individuals with disabilities and/or barriers or working with persons from diverse backgrounds.
  • Rehabilitation or Social Services diploma or equivalent education in the human services field preferred.
  • Valid Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • At least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to travel to sites throughout the City and surrounding areas.
  • Must pass a criminal records check including Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with UKG and ETO software an asset.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations and de-escalate situations effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written communication and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and use good judgment quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to influence empower and motivate others and hold team members accountable for the completion of responsibilities.

Working Conditions

  • Works in an office and various job and volunteer sites in the community and surrounding areas.
