POSITION: Virtual Programming Host (Part Time) - REMOTE REPORTS TO: Director Professional Development **MUST BE AVAILBLE TO HOST VIRTUAL EVENTS OUTSIDE OF NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS (IE: EARLY MORNINGS / EVENINGS / OCCASIONAL WEEKENDS)** ***ACHE is not a multi-state employer only candidates within the greater Chicagoland (IL and IN) area will be considered.*** PURPOSE The purpose of this job is to serve our members customers and co-workers. SUMMARY The Virtual Programing Host will assist with the support and delivery of virtual education sessions and courses. Specifically this person will support pre-event activities such as the creation of moderator scripts pre-assigned breakout rooms and polls in Zoom. He/she/they will also serve as a host for a variety of live sessions. The position requires collaboration with other departments at ACHE to coordinate key program functions as well as contact with external stakeholders and program faculty during live events. This person is highly detailed resourceful and able to creatively solve problems in a live event environment. JOB FUNCTIONS - Support program planning activities including moderator script preparation technical set-up poll creation and breakout room planning.
- Serve as the host for live sessions in a number of program settings including keynote presentations for large groups live sessions within a course with high levels of faculty and attendee engagement and panel discussions with several panelists and an external moderator. This includes opening the meeting assisting the speakers/faculty during the prep session managing the flow of attendees from the waiting room to the live session managing the recording speaking from a script to open the session managing polls and breakout rooms monitoring and responding to chat questions advancing the slides (if requested) troubleshooting any technical issues (and escalating if needed) and closing the meeting/ending the recording. These sessions are scheduled for daytime evening and weekend hours.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Experience with virtual event management including single-faculty and panel presentations.
- Technical proficiency with Zoom Meeting and Webinar.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work with external customers and faculty in a highly professional and customer-oriented manner.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and exercise sound judgement in a live event environment.
- Strong verbal presentation skills. This person will be required to read from a moderator script help manage questions to faculty and verbally respond to questions during live sessions.
- Familiarity with learning management systems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly PowerPoint.
- Highly flexible schedule with availability for live sessions during business hours evenings and Saturdays.
- Appreciation for the mission-based not-for-profit organizational environment.
