Christ the King Catholic School seeks a mission-driven dynamic and joyful full-time First Grade Teacher to join our faculty for the 2026ï½2027 school year.

Christ the King Catholic School is an Early Childhoodï½8th grade Catholic school in North Seattle with our Early Childhood Education program beginning at 30 months. First grade at CKS is a cornerstone year. It is where students become confident readers writers and mathematicians while deepening their independence curiosity and love of learning. Promote and model Catholic identity in all aspects of school life

Create a joyful structured and engaging learning environment

Develop and deliver instruction aligned with Washington State standards and Archdiocese of Seattle curriculum guidelines

Use assessment data to inform instruction and differentiate to meet the needs of diverse learners

Build positive proactive communication with families

Support students social-emotional and spiritual development

Integrate technology meaningfully into instruction

Maintain professionalism organization and positive conflict-resolution skills

Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth

Qualifications

Bachelors degree required

Washington State Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)

Catechetical certification (or working toward certification)

Elementary teaching experience preferred especially primary grades

Practicing Catholic preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Enthusiasm for working with young learners

Growth mindset and reflective practice

Salary

Depending on experience and qualifications ranges from prorated annual full-time salary range of$62000ï½$82000. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications.
