Project Monitor - Vendor Diversity
Pay Rate: $22.00
Location: Houston TX 77002
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm
Job Duties:
- Oversees contractor submittals and database maintenance resolves issues conducts payment audits and develops corrective action plans while utilizing and managing contract compliance software to ensure the integrity of information and the system for each assigned project.
- Maintains contract records uploads related documents and manages reports while monitoring contractor/subcontractor utilization and compliance with contract requirements including subcontractor substitutions recalculated goals and sanctions for the M/WBE program.
- Performs contract audits and site visits to ensure commercially useful function compliance on contracts with M/WBE goals in accordance with Harris Countys M/WBE policy and other local state and federal guidelines and regulations. Will be standing for long periods of time.
- Supports the production of reports presentations and other submissions required on the M/WBE program to Commissioners Court public reporting and others as identified for Vendor Diversity.
- Works across department with stakeholders and peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to self-start and assume ownership in completing assigned tasks.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information at all times.
- Requires strong knowledge using various types of office-related and database software
- Utilize exceptional time management skills and effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks/initiatives.
- Read/comprehend written materials write/record legible notes and correctly complete required forms.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
- Ability to research investigate detect inspect verify recognize and recommend solutions.
- Ability to identify incorrect information or work and take remedial actions independently.
- Ability to make accurate mathematical computations.
- Ability to explain program information to encourage minority and woman-owned business participation within the county procurement processes and help M/WBEs compete successfully in the marketplace and outside of the M/WBE program.
- Ability to assess the qualifications of diverse businesses to effectively serve Harris County.
- Ability to learn Harris County methods and procedures for: procurement of supplies vendor lists catalog files commercial registers directories office files and other material containing information relative to sources of supply.
- Ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner that can be easily understood.
