KBR is seeking a Modeling And Simulation Engineer with in-depth knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly VA that delivers mission-critical capabilities directly supporting intelligence-gathering missions from overhead systems. We lead architectural assessments and report recommendations to senior US Government personnel guiding acquisition and execution of next-generation SIGINT systems needs for the next 10-20 years. These systems deliver collected data distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.

The Modeling And Simulation Engineer serves as a technical advisor to support the Government with performing analysis on complex space systems needs for the intelligence and DoD communities. The SIGINT leadership team embraces innovation in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decision-makers. This is a position of trust advising the US Government and supporting critical missions in SIGINT COMINT FISINT and ELINT.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports mission analysis assessments and studies for the Program Office

• Coordinates assessments HIVE architecture impacts architecture trades and architecture performance assessments with the Enterprise Chief Architect Chief Engineer and Program Office

• Manages development test and validation of systems assessment methodologies and tools such as STK SOAP MATLAB and potentially organically developed software

• Analysis of space systems performance metrics timelines and models

• Support orbital analysis including threats assessments/impacts trades and analyses

• Communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Interface with customers directorate/office representatives and across system engineering groups to drive resolution plans and strategies for complex technical challenges

• Generate and maintain technical documentation and reports

• Location: On-site

• Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

• Working Hours: Core hour support required

Qualifications:

Required:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

• Bachelors degree (Masters degree preferred)

• 5 years of Customer experience

• Detailed understanding of government satellite systems

• Insight into SIGINT mission fundamentals and ability to perform analysis on complex space systems

• Knowledge of satellite relevancy to Department of War and the Intelligence Community unique missions

• Solid understanding of Signals Intelligence satellite systems and architectures

• Experience in Matlab Python or similar

• Understanding of operational environment and corresponding mission user needs

• Knowledge of system engineering

• Advanced degree in STEM (science technical engineering math) or related discipline.
