DESCRIPTION:
As a Senior Director of Procurement/Sourcing at Thermo Fisher Scientific you will guide strategic procurement vision and execution across complex global categories. Youll collaborate closely with divisional operations leaders to develop and implement long-term strategies that optimize quality cycle time risk management and total cost of ownership. Managing a high-achieving team youll focus on building supplier partnerships fostering innovation and delivering measurable value through strategic sourcing initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by shaping procurement strategies that support our mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier cleaner and safer.

REQUIREMENTS:
Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience or Bachelors Degree plus 8 years of experience in procurement/sourcing in a large matrix organization including leadership roles
Preferred Fields of Study: Supply Chain Management Business Engineering or related field
CPM CPSM or equivalent procurement certification preferred
Demonstrated success developing and executing global category management strategies
Strong business acumen with proven ability to improve P&L through strategic sourcing
Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels
Deep expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies contract negotiations and supplier relationship management
Experience building and developing effective procurement teams
Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to facilitate change and work effectively in a complex global organization
Experience with e-sourcing tools spend analytics and procurement systems
Knowledge of supplier quality management and regulatory compliance requirements
Global business experience preferred including managing diverse teams
Travel required
