Introduction:

This role will be within the Infrastructure Solutions Delivery (ISD) organization at GlobalFoundries IT. The ISD organizations primary focus is on building developing and delivering infrastructure that effectively addresses business requirements and opportunities while ensuring a robust sustainable and standardized platform for Operations to manage.

Your Job:

Ensure all IT solutions follow agreed architectural methodologies.
Manage business requirements contain development costs and reduce the time to delivery.
Ensure the quality and security of IT Infrastructure platforms.
Deploy stable and flexible IT infrastructure enabling easy maintenance and updates for future demand.
Ensure infrastructure reliability by design including disaster recovery capabilities.

Role:

Provide Networking Low-Level Design (LLD) input to tactical partners including updating network drawings in Microsoft Visio for both To Beand AsBuilt network designsfor global storage installations.

Provide support for all network detailsfor enterprise storage and compute including VLANs DNS NTP IP Netmask and Gateway.

Manage ServiceNow Change Requests related to network changesfor enterprise datacenter ensuring compliance with Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) standards.

This role will be responsible forthe implementationof change with supportofthe NetworkInfrastructureDelivery organization.

Support the implementation of new fiber runs within the datacenter and between datacenters. - Validating need locations typeslengths andassistingGF with the placement of the order. (These runs are done via 3rdparty)

Validate and test High Availability network architecture designs for newly implemented infrastructure.

Provide new network configuration requirements for the setup of the VMWare Cloud Foundation including VLAN IP DNS etc.

Analyze andoptimizetraffic paths from premise to cloud.

Technologies: Cisco Catalyst Cisco Nexus Cisco ACI

Required Qualifications

A bachelors degree in computer science engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies such as CI/CD Git Jenkins Ansible etc.
Strong knowledge of Cisco networking (Catalyst/Nexus) for datacenter.

Preferred Skillsets:

Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
