POSITION: Finance Manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors Degree in Business or related field or have five years directly related experience
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and methods
- Experience meeting deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to perform detailed work involving written and numerical data
- A high level of proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Able to work independently while contributing to the entire team
- Well versed in oral and written communication
REPORTS TO: SAU #9 Business Administrator
JOB GOAL: To oversee the accounting data concerning financial transactions of expenditures income and payroll processing and to manage the annual independent audit.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the Business Administrator in any departmental task required including:
- Oversees the verification production and dissemination of 1099 reporting
- Approves purchase orders ensuring budget compliance
- Manages the fixed asset list for the annual audit including issuing fixed asset tags
- Produces all audit documentation required for the annual independent audit
- Assists with year-end closeout procedures including journal entries prior year accrued payroll accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reports monthly lunch data to the NH Department of Education
- Provides recommendations to the Business Administrator as necessary to improve the efficiency and compliance needs of the districts
- Performs the duties and responsibilities of the Payroll Manager and the Finance Assistant to Accounts Payable as directed by the Business Administrator.
- Performs any relevant task that may be assigned by the Business Administrator or Superintendent
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Twelve month year. Salary to be established by the Superintendent and SAU 9 Board.
WORK YEAR: 260 day year/round position
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of SAU#9s personnel policies using the Managerial Level Employee Evaluation Form. The Business Administrator and/or administrative designee will be the evaluator.
