DescriptionWhat Youll Do
At Veritas Prep Middle School Math/Science Teachers play a critical role in ensuring all students develop strong mathematical reasoning scientific thinking and academic confidence needed to thrive in high school college and beyond. As a Math/Science Teacher you will co-advise a class of approximately 27 students alongside an ELA/History Teacher sharing responsibility for both academic achievement and a strong positive classroom culture.
You will plan and deliver rigorous engaging instruction in math and science that ensures every studentregardless of backgroundcan access grade-level standards build conceptual understanding and apply their learning to complex partnership with your co-advisor you will cultivate a joyful structured classroom community where students of all identities feel safe valued challenged and supported to meet ambitious goals.

In this role you will:
- Implement school-wide routines and systems that create consistency maximize learning time and support a focused orderly environment
- Deliver High Quality Instructional Materials in Math (Fishtank Math) and Science that enable students to develop strong mathematical and scientific thinking skills.
- Collaborate closely with your math/science team to internalize curriculum strengthen instructional materials in response to student data and align on best practices.
- Use student data to drive instructional decisions provide targeted support/interventions and accelerate growth during class daily intervention block and daily tutoring
- Teach a daily seminar block focused on college and career readiness including goal-setting self-advocacy collaboration and responsible decision-making.
- Reinforce social-emotional skills by intentionally embedding them into classroom instruction routines and daily interactions with students.
- Build strong trusting relationships with students and actively communicate and partner with families to support student success
- Center inclusive culturally responsive practices that affirm students identities and promote belonging and high expectations for all
- Work collaboratively with teachers staff and school leaders to problem-solve support students and contribute to a strong team culture
- Perform other duties as assigned by your school Principal and/or manager

- Bachelors degree required.
- One to three years of teaching experience preferred.
- Massachusetts DESE Elementary Licensure Preferred or eligibility to achieve Highly Qualified status within one year of employment demonstrated by:
- passing score on the Communications and Literacy (Reading and Writing) MTEL and
- passing score on the Elementary Math or Middle School Mathematics MTEL or equivalent and/or
- Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) endorsement
- Current authorization to work in the United States a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment

- Salary Range for this position is $50000 - $90000 exclusive of fringe benefits.
- If hired your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as skills education and/or experience.

- Keep in mind the above range is the full base salary range for this position. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
