Job Summary

A vacancy has arisen for a Gp Capt (Any Profession) to serve as Head Transformation at 11 Group Air Command on Full Time Reserve Service (Limited Commitment) Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 27 July 2026 (or earlier/later subject to candidate status; however not before 5th May 2026).

The 11 Gp Transformation Team was established in 2020 under the leadership of a Gp Capt with a Wg Cdr Programme Manager and supporting Programme Management Office (PMO). The PMO is now currently fully engaged with the development and delivery of several key programmes and projects.

This role is a key appointment within the Air Command HQ which offers challenge combined with a high profile and an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Air C2. Workingfor the Deputy Director Operations the responsibilities of the Hd Transformation role are below:

Lead 11 Gp Transformation.
Be the Line Manager for SO1 Transformation and other posts established within the PMO including the management of RAF Regulars and Civil Servants.
Provide advice to AOC 11 Gp and one-star deputies seeking direction as appropriate from Dep Dir Ops.
Plan develop and deliver 11 Gp related programmes projects and initiatives in accordance with direction from AOC 11 Gp or Dep Dir Ops.
Actively drive stakeholder engagement building effective internal and external relationships as required to enable 11 Gp Transformation.
Development and oversight of a Programme Plan that coheres Transformation activity across HQ 11 Gp and the wider HQ Air.
Manage develop and maintain the core PMO skills such as risk & benefits management programme oversight governance scheduling communications and stakeholder management.
