The Department of Transportations (DOT) Office of Special Events is seeking a Community Associate to support citywide permitting operations through data management mapping and interagency support functions. Under general supervision the selected candidate will maintain validate and manage event-related data across agency systems; create and review maps routes and geospatial visualizations to support conflict analysis construction awareness and public safety planning; and ensure accuracy and consistency for permitted activities including public events film shoots block parties and construction work. Responsibilities include maintaining the NYC Event Permitting System and the Special Events Stipulations database through daily data entry and quality assurance creating updating and issuing permit stipulations in accordance with established guidelines processing and maintaining office databases.
Preferred Skills:
The position requires strong organizational skills attention to detail familiarity with mapping tools and databases and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced high-visibility operational environment. Preference will be given to candidate who is proficient with data entry and experienced in telephone and written responses to constituent inquiries.
