Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Pediatrics for a 13-week contract assignment in an acute care hospital setting. The RRT will provide comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients including assessment treatment and emergency intervention while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
Provide respiratory care services to pediatric patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols
Perform respiratory assessments and monitor patient response to therapies
Administer oxygen therapy aerosol treatments and ventilator management
Assist with airway management including intubation support and emergency response
Respond to rapid response and code situations
Monitor and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory equipment
Accurately document respiratory care in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians nurses and care teams to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with infection control safety standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
Pediatric respiratory care experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA required)
