DescriptionCherokee Casino Roland is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our growing team!
The HR Generalist plays a key role in supporting daily HR functions and advancing HR strategies aligned with business needs. This position works closely with HR leadership managers and employees to interpret policies improve procedures support compliance efforts and foster productive workplace relationships. The role may also guide other employees and contribute input on performance and employment decisions.
Responsibilities- Interpret and guide HR policies and procedures to support business operations
- Support the development of HR objectives systems metrics and reporting
- Provide tactical HR support aligned with organizational goals
- Assist in implementing HR initiatives and collaborate with HR leadership
- Recommend and support procedural improvements including follow-up and guidance
- Build and maintain effective relationships with leaders employees and coworkers
- Partner with HR managers to address employee relations issues
- Design and deliver new employee orientation and annual training programs
- Conduct HR compliance audits and support regulatory requirements
- Manage assigned employee investigations including EthicsPoint cases
- Provide input related to performance management and employment decisions
- Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations
- Experience handling employee relations matters and investigations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn HRIS systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong decision-making problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Ability to analyze data to identify trends and recommend solutions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated impartiality and sound judgment in sensitive situations
- Ability to defend unemployment claims and maintain strict confidentiality
