At the Office of Management and Finance our mission is to provide effective management and support services in an efficient and professional manner to all agencies within Public Safety Services and to public and private entities. The Undersecretarys Office assists Public Safety Services as well as the Office of Juvenile Justice and the Governors Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness in meeting policy budget management and regulatory objectives. The Undersecretarys Office ensures that all agencies within Public Safety Services are provided with adequate support to implement their statutory commitments and the priorities of the current administration via the five divisions which report to the Undersecretarys Office (Budget Services Financial Services Human Resources Internal Audit and Support Services).
Seven years of experience in developing managing or evaluating administrative programs operational programs or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field plus four years of experience in developing managing or evaluating administrative programs operational programs or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
A bachelors degree plus four years of experience in developing managing or evaluating administrative programs operational programs or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization; OR
An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience in developing managing or evaluating administrative programs operational programs or special projects or initiatives within a public or private sector organization.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties:
As the Statewide Program Manager 1 in the Undersecretarys Office the incumbent will serve as the Procurement Director and Chief Purchasing Agent for DPS acting as a principal advisor and operational liaison for all administrative and procurement activities throughout the Department statewide.
