Role Overview

KONE is seeking a skilled and reliable Escalator Engineer to join our nightshift service team covering London and the wider M25 area. This role focuses on escalator maintenance repairs and callout response ensuring equipment remains safe compliant and fully operational.

The position requires strong technical expertise a proactive approach to problemsolving and a commitment to delivering highquality service in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive maintenance on escalators in accordance with KONE standards and industry regulations

• Perform diagnostic work repairs and component replacements to ensure safe and reliable operation

• Respond to callouts and breakdowns during night shifts providing timely and effective solutions

• Complete all required service reports documentation and compliance checks

• Work collaboratively with the wider KONE service team to support escalator performance across the region

• Identify potential upgrade or modernization opportunities

• Participate in the oncall rota (1 in every 5 weeks) this is a mandatory requirement

Qualifications & Experience

• NVQ Level 3 in Escalator Engineering (essential)

• Proven escalator maintenance and repair experience

• Strong understanding of mechanical electrical and control systems

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and service manuals

• Full UK driving licence

• Excellent faultfinding skills and a safetyfirst mindset

Working Hours & Benefits

• 38hour night shift contract

• 30minute paid/unpaid lunch break

• 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays

• Participation in the 1-in-5 oncall rota
