Our House empowers homeless and near-homeless families and individuals to succeed in the workforce in school and in life through hard work wise decision-making and active participation in the community. About the Role
You will be responsible for overseeing and growing the volunteer program at Our House across our campus and two Resale Stores. This includes recruiting training supervising and engaging volunteers while ensuring programs are well-organized and run effectively. You will coordinate our meal provider program in-kind donation drives community partnerships and donation pickups. This role combines relationship management logistics and data tracking to keep volunteer and in-kind operations running smoothly in support of Our Houses programming.
What Youll Do
- Oversee and maintain the volunteer program including recruitment onboarding training scheduling and engagement
- Develop volunteer position descriptions goals and strategies to strengthen and meet the needs of Our Houses programs
- Coordinate our Meal Provider program and ensure smooth communication and scheduling with participating groups
- Plan promote and manage in-kind donation drives
- Manage donation pickups organize contributions and maintain accurate inventory of donated items
- Track volunteer engagement maintain records in databases run reports and analyze data to inform program improvements
- Recognize and appreciate volunteers gather feedback and implement changes to enhance the volunteer experience
- Promote volunteer opportunities and engage community partners including faith-based corporate and civic organizations to grow and diversify the volunteer base
- Train and support staff to work effectively with volunteers and integrate them into daily operations
- Collaborate with Resale Stores and other departments to support volunteer and donation needs
- Conduct other duties as assigned to fulfill Our Houses mission
What Youll Bring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
- Experience building relationships and engaging volunteers community groups or partners in meaningful ways
- Organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple schedules programs and logistics at once
- Comfort using databases and tracking systems to maintain accurate records and run basic reports
- Initiative flexibility and the ability to balance hands-on tasks with program coordination responsibilities
- A commitment to the mission of Our House and a desire to help community members engage in meaningful service
Requirements
- Must possess a valid drivers license and vehicle to use in performance of job. The position requires some travel within Central Arkansas.
- Must be able to pass criminal background checks child and adult maltreatment registry checks sex offender registry checks and a pre-employment drug screen
