The CNC Plasma Operator is responsible for operating CNC plasma cutting equipment while adhering to established safety and quality procedures. This role maintains a high standard of workmanship and customer service by ensuring accuracy efficiency and minimal material waste while meeting production requirements.
Set up CNC plasma tables with correct materials consumables cutting speeds and parameters to produce required parts with minimal waste
Interpret work orders and technical drawings to program and operate CNC plasma equipment accurately
Monitor cutting operations and make adjustments as needed to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain CNC equipment in proper working condition
Complete required production paperwork and delivery documentation
Perform continuous quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of all orders
Complete final inspections including material quality quantity packaging and labeling
Operate forklifts to move materials as required
Use basic measuring devices including tape measures and micrometers
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Perform basic maintenance on CNC plasma tables
Maintain a clean safe and organized work area
Ability to stand lift climb and perform various physical tasks
Ability to handle lift and move steel materials up to 50 lbs
Position requires physical agility mobility and dexterity
Ability to accurately perform basic math calculations
Basic computer literacy including familiarity with Windows email and word processing software
