General Summary of the Position:
TheEveningAccess Services Associate willcontribute to the operation ofUMLLibraryand the Access Services departmentby participatingin:building management(including closing procedures)studentemployeesupervision InterlibraryLoancirculation desk functionscustomer servicestacksmaintenance andother projects as communication is vital; supervisors expect nightly shift -timeposition will be scheduled for up to18hoursa week; preference given toevening (5 pm 11 pm) especially during final examsor on select federal holidays may also berequired.
Reporting to the Access Services Department the candidate will perform the following job duties:
such assupervisingclosingprocedures tidying of spaces and shelves reporting facility concerns andfacilitatinglost and found andmaintaincommunication with supervisors about student employees and building incidents.
the training and supervision of studentemployees serving as a resourceand contributing toa supportiveteamenvironment.
and modelcustomerservice at the Library Services theuse of library materialsbyregistering andmaintainingpatron accountsassistingwith CourseReservesand answering questions in person and through phone email and LibAnswers.
the processing of Interlibrary Loan requests retrieve and scan or ship materials as requested through RAPID andILLiad and receive and process incoming materials for copyright materials exceeding fair use guidelines usingReprintsdesksoftware or OCLCs IFM payment system.

Minimum Qualifications (Required):
High School Diploma or GED/equivalent some college preferred
Experience in library environment desirable
Demonstrated experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems
