DescriptionPosition Overview:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of warehouse movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production and manages material movement with purchasing warehouse and production.
In addition functions include maintaining a work order inventory of material issued from the stock room department and organizing and distributing material to and from various manufacturing work centers. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description
- Maintains inventory by identifying labeling and placing materials in designated work centers or staging areas.
- Assist with creating and reviewing Work Order Traveler documents.
- Delivers material to various work centers as required per master production schedule and daily reports.
- Documents material movement as assigned to work centers.
- Processes stock room returns as requested by Production Control.
- Submits part requests to Production Control for Repair Orders.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying packing and securing product.
- Keeps work area organized and tidy.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Actively participate in meetings to understand instruction customer and production needs quality challenges as well as other key issues
- Knowledge of all duties will be cross-functional but specific duties may be assigned
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and act independently in a fast-paced environment with a variety of variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Must be able to work overtime as required to meet productions needs as well as flexibility to work around scheduled production hours.
- Must have a high level of safety awareness and maintain a record of good safety habits.
- Data entry skills
- Min of 2 years experience with regular use of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook Word and Excel Such as but not limited to Sorting filtering calculations page layouts.
- ERP or MRP hands on experience and fluent with system (Syspro) preferred
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
Adheres to good manufacturing practices (GMP)
Working Conditions/Physical demands:
- Climate-controlled setting
- Standing and walking required
- Lifting up to 35 lbs at times is required
- Bending twisting turning and using hands is required.
