Are you passionate about supporting those who have served The Veterans Program Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening veteran wellness connection and community at the YMCA. This position leads engaging veteran-focused programs such as Wellness Warriors and Salute Social serving as a trusted point of connection for veterans while helping them thrive through physical activity social engagement and support. Reporting to the Mental Health Director this part-time role helps expand the YMCAs impact for veterans across our community. The Coordinator will work 10-12 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent service and build strong relationships with members staff volunteers guests and veterans.
Coordinate veteran-focused programs including scheduling enrollment logistics and guest speakers.
Serve as a consistent point of contact for veterans supporting participation and connection while incorporating appropriate physical activity.
Lead outreach and community engagement efforts including partnerships with veteran-serving organizations and representation at community events.
Requirements
At least 18 years old.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience working with the veteran population.
