This position is located at MWR Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae Hawaii on the island of Oahu.Incentives and Bonuses

Duties

  • Manages a business activity as an assistant manager.
  • Recommends and enforces operating procedures.
  • Represents the activity to the public.
  • Conducts surveys reviews activity reports and makes recommendations concerning services promotional activities and revenue improvements.
  • Supervises assigned staff.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.

  • Work hours may involve weekend weekdays night duty and holidays.
  • Requires frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid States Drivers license.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:

  • Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed as stated above.

HIGH QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience in business or recreation operations.
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience in retail operations.
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory lead worker or shift lead position.

Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed under minimum qualifications and highly qualifying criteria listed above. Candidates who possess both the minimum and the highly qualifying criteria will be considered first.

Area of Consideration

  • This job is open to candidates who are LOCAL on the Island of Oahu. (Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)

Allowances and Differential
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will be paid contingent upon eligibility.
