Job Summary
Our client is seeking a motivated and experienced Science Teacher to join a well-established independent school in Gloucestershire from April. This role includes a Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) and is well suited to a Science Teacher looking to take on additional responsibility within a supportive and academically focused environment.
The school offers small class sizes high standards of behaviour and a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching and learning across the sciences.
The Role
Teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on specialism
Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that promote curiosity and academic rigour
Supporting practical science lessons with a strong focus on safety and subject knowledge
Taking on a TLR-linked responsibility such as curriculum leadership mentoring or oversight of a key area within the Science department
Contributing to departmental planning assessment and development
Playing an active role in the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Science-related subject
Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Proven ability or readiness to take on a responsibility or leadership role
Strong subject knowledge and high expectations for pupil outcomes
A professional organised and collaborative approach
