Sunbrella a division of Glen Raven Inc. has an opportunity for a Textile Design Internship. This internship is located at the Sunbrella global headquarters located in Burlington NC. Rising juniors and seniors are preferred and Graduate students can also be considered. An interest in specialty fabrics wovens upholstery or similar discipline is preferred. This is a paid opportunity.
Description:
The Design Practicum is a 10-week immersive work study where participants will become fully integrated team members with our Design Team. The goal of this program is to learn from one another! Responsibilities will include assisting Design Team members as needed to develop projects and requests from concept to completion. Each participant will also have the opportunity to design style and weave their own mini collection during this period and will have several check-in presentations with the Team to present their work and gather feedback.

- Sunbrella HQ 142 Glen Raven Burlington NC
Duration:
- 10 consecutive weeks between May and August
Required Candidate Qualifications:
- Self-motivated yet enjoys team work
- Transportation to and from work
- Accepts direction and critique constructively
- Adaptable and eager to learn
- Working knowledge of Photoshop and previous exposure to textile specific CAD systems (EAT preferable)
