The role
The Health and Wellbeing Officer plays a handson role in shaping and delivering initiatives that strengthen workplace health safety and overall wellbeing. The position focuses on practical WHS priorities such as workplace hygiene early intervention health management and effective workplace adjustments while also contributing to continuous improvement across the department. It involves researching and interpreting information to provide clear informed advice as well as working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to design and implement policies programs and individual support strategies.
A key part of the role is navigating a complex regulatory environment while encouraging managers and supervisors to actively engage with their responsibilities. The officer supports a wide range of projects by coordinating resources preparing documentation managing workplace adjustment requests and keeping project plans on track. Success in this role comes from balancing collaboration with problemsolving ensuring that health and wellbeing initiatives are implemented smoothly and consistently across the organisation.
