The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Receptionist to join our team.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide direct customer service to the general public the agency membership agency staff and administrative support to the department and managerial staff.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing customer service to the agency membership public and staff
  • Managing and operating the NCTGOC multi-line switchboard
  • Greeting incoming visitors and guests in the reception area
  • Receiving and processing deliveries
  • Providing internal and external customer service support
  • Receiving and responding to inquiries for information and services
  • Monitoring inventory and maintaining stock
  • Providing backup to the Regional Information Center
  • Providing administrative assistance
  • Conducting data and information research
  • Training back up staff
  • Serving as a NCTCOG Agency representative

Required Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Highly customer service oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize

Required Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency and up to 1-year related work experience.

Compensation:

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Starting Salary Range: $18.50/hour $20.19/hour

Retirement

NCTCOG participates in a defined contribution plan as an alternative to Social Security. The defined contribution retirement plan provides retirement benefits for all eligible employees. NCTCOG contributes twelve percent (12%) of permanent full-time employees gross salaries. Participating employees contribute six percent (6%) of gross salary. An employee becomes forty percent (40%) vested in NCTCOGs contributions after three full years of employment. An additional fifteen percent 15%) is vested for each additional year of employment. An employee becomes fully vested after seven years of employment.
