The Ministry Coordinator coordinates planning and preparation for liturgies and other religious services weddings special events and educational programming. This position performs a wide range of administrative support tasks needed for the efficient day-to-day operation of the University Ministry program. Essential Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Coordinates planning and preparations for University Ministry sponsored events and activities including liturgies and other religious services weddings speakers special events and educational programming.
Performs a variety of administrative support tasks and business office processes for the director and assistant director necessary for the efficient day-to-day operation of the University Ministry program to include the preparation of documents and reports photocopying filing faxing mailing the set up and maintenance of data bases and filing systems and processing business office forms such as purchase orders requests for payment etc.
Coordinates the departments marketing efforts supervises design and layout of promotional materials (both print and electronic) needed for events and activities and serves as University Ministrys liaison to the universitys Creative Services Department. Works with student employees to promote events in print and social media.
Provides training and supervision of student employees and volunteers who assist with liturgies and religious services special events and educational programming and serves as University Ministrys liaison to Human Resources with regard to student employment.

Desired Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience Include:
Required: Bachelors degree
Required: The employee must be a practicing Roman Catholic who is able to demonstrate an understanding of the basic tenants of the faith as well as the goals and purposes of a Catholic university ministry program.
Preferred: Prior experience as an employee or as a volunteer planning and coordinating liturgies special events and educational programming.
Supports the ongoing implementation of Ex Corde Ecclesiae the apostolic constitution on Catholic colleges and universities.
Builds a culture of ready and earnest hospitality inthe Office of University Ministry and throughout the university in accord with Saint Benedicts admonition that all be received as Christ.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
The ability to describe what is required to successfully plan and coordinate Eucharistic Liturgies special events and educational programming
An understanding of the spiritual formation needs of university students
Attention to detail
The ability to organize workflow in a self-directed manner
Exceptional interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to design creative promotional materials for special events
The ability to create and maintain databases and filing systems
