Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to support a small critical access hospital in Hawaii. This role is ideal for adaptable clinicians who are comfortable providing care across Emergency Acute Care and Long-Term Care (LTC) settings. Nurses in this environment function as true generalists covering all patient care areas as needed.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care in the ER setting
Support acute care and long-term care patients as needed based on census
Administer medications and perform procedures for acute and LTC patients
Serve as backup coverage across departments when ER census is low
Deliver safe patient-centered care in a multi-functional clinical setting
Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements

Active Hawaii RN license required by start of assignment
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
Ability to work independently in a critical access hospital environment
Flexibility to float between ER Acute Care and LTC areas
Current BLS/BCLS certification required

Additional Details

Schedule: 6 12-hour shifts per two-week period (72 hours)
Every 3rd weekend off
Holiday coverage required
This is not a latex-free facility
