About the Department:
Float team members work in all 3 Corewell Health Emergency Department locations. Applicants for this role must be adept at managing multiple tasks in fast paced medical setting. Although schedules are made in advance flexibility is important as the float team supports team member call-ins and unexpected coverage needs including surges with patient volume. The float team must maintain competency in both adult and pediatric care populations with emphasis on crisis intervention and behavioral health. Due to the increased responsibilities with the float position a 10% allowance is paid in addition to float team members base salary.
This position will cover 1st Shift. Team members are expected to work a minimum of 4 weekend shifts a month. Schedules are created based on both team shift coverage needs and float team members availability.
