Location: Aspen CO
Duration: 13 weeks contract
Job Type: W2
Rate: $35 /hr. All-Inclusive.
Shift Timings: 6pm-6am. Nights may vary.
Job Description:
The Patient Care Technician assists with patient care under the supervision of physicians advanced practice providers and nurses and also performs administrative tasks to support the effective delivery of care. Patient Care Technicians will work within all in-patient and ambulatory care areas depending on staffing needs
Duties and Responsibilities
-
Measures and documents vital signs performs EKGs and collects lab samples.
-
Assists providers and other staff with procedures.
-
Cleans inspects and sets up patient care rooms carts and equipment.
-
Ensures supplies are stocked to appropriate levels.
-
Provides administrative support to the department including ordering food for patients ordering supplies answering the telephone and preparing admissions discharge and transfer paperwork.
-
Transports patients to and from other areas including inpatient units surgery or radiology.
-
Initiates and participates in resuscitation efforts in accordance with BLS guidelines.
-
Documents patient care in accordance with regulatory requirements professional standards and hospital policy.
-
May be required to work nights weekends and/or holidays.

Ensures developmentally and medically appropriate care for all patient populations and age groups.
-
Adheres to all applicable laws regulations company policies and established procedures to ensure a safe compliant and ethical work environment.

Ability to learn recall and implement established policies and procedures.

Ability to interact with customers of all ages and adapt to language and learning barriers and technology challenges.

Working Conditions

Unrestricted license to practice as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) in the State of Colorado preferred.

Completion of a CDPHE-approved IV course preferred.

Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) preferred.

Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
