Job Summary
Summary
This position is located at the FMWR Sports Fitness and Aquatics facilities on Fort Wainwright AK.
Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
- Supports activities and services of the athletics and intramural sports program.
- Provides oversight of events and tournaments.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of athletic facilities.
- Assistants with publicity of events and tournaments and assists with the delivery and placement of posters flyers and other promotional material.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 Chapter 2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
- Must obtain and maintain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED within one year of employment.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
- Must be able to endure physical demands beyond normal requirements including prolonged standing and walking and must be able to work in settings where exposure to moderate discomforts may exist.
- Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule to include early mornings late nights weekends and holidays.
- Satisfactory completion of a physical exam is required.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the position.
2. Must be able to obtain a nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED.
In addition to the above qualifications candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred or Best Qualified:
1. One year of full-time work experience in the sports and fitness industry.
2. Current nationally recognized certification in First Aid CPR and AED.

- This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
- Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid and are contingent upon eligibility.
