Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a PRN Pharmacist for a short-term assignment in the Portage Indiana area. This role supports an inpatient care environment within a safety-focused organization that values teamwork accountability and high-quality patient care. The assignment is ideal for a pharmacist who can step into a PRN setting and contribute immediately to daily pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Active Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
- Prior inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Experience with medication reconciliation and discharge counseling
- Strong clinical judgment communication skills and attention to detail
- Verify prepare and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Support medication reconciliation and discharge medication counseling
- Monitor drug therapy for dosing accuracy interactions and contraindications
- Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing support
- Maintain accurate documentation and controlled substance accountability
- Support pharmacy safety quality and regulatory compliance efforts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards
